If you are due for an extension, this information is available as well. You can also find out if your last claim has been processed and when it will be processed.

You need to call that state that you are filing your claim in.  I understand that many of the unemployment offices are flooded with claims and if you call you can be on hold for over an hour on the phone.  Many of the unemployment offices have websites where you can check.  Is this your first time for filing?

Usually my check arrives on either wednesday or thursday, have checked the mail today thursday and no check. Can you please tell me what is going on? Thank you

It all depends on what state the claim is filed with.... I have had unemployment in 3 different states and personally of the three MN, CO, and now NY. It seems that NY was pretty much the quickest... From the day I started my claim I waited for the direct payment card. And than saw that it doesn't get mailed out until your actual first release of funds. So my release of funds was last monday and I received my card on friday... So from date of claim to card and money in hand was approx 2 weeks....

Otherwise you have to find your states call center telephone number. And be prepared for a somewhat long hold because if you are having these problems and with the rising unemployment rate, I am sure there are thousands of people calling..

Unemployment does not  come in checks anymore you will receive a debit master credit card. It can take about 3-4 weeks. But be sure to file every week you will be paid for those weeks also.
