How Do I Check The Status Of My Unemployment Appeal?

To check the status of your unemployment claim you will need to follow these steps.

Step 1

First you need to head to your state's website. If you don't know it, it is simply unemployment.yourstate.gov. You obviously need to put the name of your state into the 'your state' bit of the web address.

Step 2

If you have previously created an account on the website then simply sign in with the username and password you used for your other visits. If you do not have an account then you will need to sign up. You will need your social security number in order to register. You will then be asked to create a password. Think about what your password is to be and try and make it very easy to remember, yet hard to predict by others.

Step 3

Once you have gained access to your account page on the website then you will be able to view the status of your claim. It is likely to say pending if it is still being processed. Otherwise it will state that it has been accepted or denied.

If you have any difficulties it is a good idea to contact your local government office. They will be able to talk you through the status of your unemployment claim and explain anything you don't quite understand.

I mailed my appeal on June 15, 2009. How can I find out what is going on with my appeal?

I filed for unemployment March 6th, 2010 and lost.  I appealed and finally had my hearing June 19th.  I called the number on the appeal paperwork and found out that I won the appeal July 1st.Now I am just waiting for my check.I guess this is how it works in California.Once you win the appeal.  The appeals board then sends a letter to EDD.Once EDD receives the approval letter then they can send out your checks.I have heard that it takes 1 to 2 weeks from the date you win but can't tell you for sure as I am still waiting.  But answering your question.  There should be a number to call right on the appeal paperwork.  A real person actually answers the phone..

I faxed my appeal on April 7,2009. How can I find out what is going on with my appeal?

I filed a claim on 1/11/09. I appealed the decision. It has been almost 6 weeks. I have been calling in my benefits every two weeks for almost 8 weeks now. How much longer do I have to wait until I hear something? I am still unemployed with no income?

It takes up to three months for them to assign a date then two weeks after the date for decision. If you win you have to wait 10 days from date of mailing for employer to file a appeal to your appeal which if he does you go round and round again good luck

Check appeal status

I applied for UI Dec. I was approved, received some payments and then the employer filed an appeal. I went for a hearing and I lost. I then appealed the referees decision, and now I am waiting for an answer. In the mean time I am no longer eligible to collect.  

If I applied for unemployment about a month ago how can I fine out what,s  going on with it

I have been unemployed since september,I appeal it and still havent recived anything can you tell how much longer I have to wait.

My appeal has been reversed in my favor, when can I receive my check or find more information about the amount etc
