Go to the website for the State of Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation (subtitled Florida Unemployment Weekly Claim Certification and Work Search Verification) at www2.myflorida.com/flccid/ to check the status of your Florida unemployment claim online.
The system is available from Monday through to Saturday, from 6:30 a.m. To 8:00 p.m., and on Sunday, from 6:30 a.m. To 6:00 p.m., Eastern Time.
Through the benefit claim certification and work search system, you can get your claim and payment information (at the time you claim your weeks you can change your address and/or telephone number), as well as (1) submit work search contacts, (2) establish or cancel payment by Florida Visa debit card, (3) create or change your PIN, and (4) print your tax forms.
The website warns that unemployment compensation benefits no longer will be placed on prepaid debit cards for those claimants who have opted for the direct deposit method of payment. Claimants also may opt to switch their method of payment to a secure Unemployment Compensation Debit Card through www.floridajobs.org.
If for any reason you are unable to use the internet, you may call the hotline for the benefit claim certification and work search system with any questions about your claim at 1-800-204-2418 from 8:00 a.m. To 5:00 p.m. From Monday through to Thursday.
