If you just filed you should get a letter within a few days of filing and it should give you the amount you will receive and when you should be receiving your money. If you were layed off the company you were working for should have already submitted the information therefore the process should take anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks maybe four. If you were fired then you should be receiving a check anywhere 4-6 weeks.   You will get retro pay.  Don't forget to keep doing  your payment request even thought you don't receive anything. When you do they will give you back pay

Soon as edd receive your form it goes out the same day so depending on how far you live from your main office. If your in California the main office is in Sacramento.

For me, I applied at the beginning in April, by mid of April I got the phone interview. They said my application was complete. About 2 weeks later I got a letter saying my application wasn't complete. I tried checking their automated sites for further info but there wasn't any further info there, just a generic "Your application isn't complete". I tried calling, at all different hours of day, the UE office to ask someone but the phone lines were ALWAYS busy and it hung up on me. This went on for another 2 weeks. I then sent a very, very angry letter to their office. After about another week or so I started getting my checks. So adding it all up, it took me about 7 or 8 weeks or about 2 months. I started getting my checks about end of May/beginning of July. Hopefully you don't have to wait that long but I would plan on something similar since the office is SO, SO, SO bogged down.
