They say if your fired no possible way you can get benefits. But thats not a true fact, it depends on your state labor dept. Rules. I heard some states give you like a six week penalty after that is over you can collect benefits. You would have to call your states labor dept. About this or maybe visit your states labor dept. Web site that might have info on it. Good luck.

Yes, I live in NC, actually from Fayetteville and I was fired and I received benefits after the 6 weeks period but they will reimburst you all the money back, it was a lump sum and it came in really good.

I have never heard of anyone getting UI if they were fired...UNLESS they were fired unjustly and a hearing was done and the decision reversed.....I'm only speaking with what my brother in law dealt with some years ago when he lost his job. They had to pay him the back pay cause he was determined to be eligible only because the reason the employer let him go was for personal reasons not for not doing his job....
