The additional $25 for NYS will go into effect late March, retroactive to March 1st. Starting February 22nd in NYS, 13 additional weeks of unemployment are being made available.
I received the $25 increase on my last unemployment check, my understanding is it should be per week. I got $25 for 2 weeks. What is the right answer? If I have more coming, how do I get back pay?
Starting Feb 22,2009 anyone receiving a unemployment payment will receive the extra $25. You must receive the payment for that week first. This $25 extra will expire on Dec 31,2009.
