I happen to work in marketing, so it affects me a lot, paycheck-wise. It also affects some of my buying decisions, though I try to not be too affected by television and radio commercials. I have tried new products because the marketing campaign appealed to me, but haven't always stuck with them. I tend to be brand-loyal, so if MacDonalds or Kleenex never advertised again, I'd still purchase their products, not because of their marketing campaigns but because of satisfaction with the products.
