Unemployment benefits are yearly based. AZ takes the total allowable benefit that you are entitled to and divides it by 52 weeks x 2 and then pays that amount per week up to 26 weeks, which is actually only 1/2 a year and then you can file for an extension. Why they make it so complicated I'll never know. This is the way I understand it. Hope this helps.
