You don't have to file for an extension. You will receive a letter if your eligible for any more extensions by your UI office after you exhausted all of your benefit funds. If you already waited over a week for a letter ...give them a call.

I was getting two weeks worth of unemployment before and when I filed this last time my remaining balance was less than 2 weeks.  When I file next I just file for what is remaining in the account?  Or do they add on the remainder of the money to equal out the two weeks?  I have been counting on this money each time to pay my bills and may come up short this time.

The lesser amount is what you were due before your claim ran out....check into extensions for unemployment.
