I would think by advertising, they mean that he was going around basically advertising (or bragging), whatever he did or had that he got in trouble for being in possession of.
What does mean the charge Advertising and possession mean? I can pretty much guess what possession means, but what does advertising mean? I obviously have a friend in jail right now w/ these charges pending on him. I'm kind of hoping to help...
