  • Start by visiting the website of the of the bank that actually issued you the credit card. Don't click on email links to check your statement, either. This is not safe. You need to type in the address for the bank's website directly into your browser so that you are not directed to fake bank websites as part of a phishing scam.
  • Once you're on the web page you need to look for either the 'log in' or 'sign in' button that's probably at the top or the middle of the homepage of the website. The wording of this will probably vary a little. Once you've clicked this you'll be able to enter all of your details to be able to log into your own online bank or credit account.
  • You should now be able to see your credit card statement. The information required by the site might have been a bit different to other sites but you should have easily managed to get through the login process. You probably would simply have had to enter in your credit card number and password, or your username, password and secret question. Banks on the Internet are really quite secure these days.
  • When you have your logged-in page in front of you, you will need to click on the 'view balance' or the 'balance' option. This will, obviously, take you to the balance page where you will be able to interpret your credit card statement and come to terms with your financial situation.
  • If you are having any trouble with this then you should get in touch with your bank, as they'll be more than happy to help you out with the situation. They will solve any problems, and will help you with the login or registration procedure.
