I'm in the same situation, exhausted all my tier 3 benefits about 3 weeks ago. I did give unemployment a call and found out that there is no tier 4 in Texas and doesn't seem like there is one in the plans either, unlike other states our governor denied the stimulus that would cover more extensions. If you ask me his reasoning is pathetic, he feels once the new money is gone Texas will end up paying the rest to cover what is owed to those on unemployment. Basically its a waiting game, once everyone who is in tier 3 exhaust their benefits and people start complaining then a tier 4 will be in the works ( maybe ) ...... Other states have already exhausted tier 4 and are moving onto tier 5...

All other states have gotten a tier 4 extension except texas. We need a tier 5 hell a tier 50 if necessary. There arenot any jobs available and if you find one, there are 50 other people for that same position. Our elected officials have jobs. They have plenty food. They have a roof over their head. They donot want for nothing. They need compassion and help us less fortunate s-you-r-v-I-v-e.  I worked for 18 years on the same job. As american citizens, we need  help. Everything is gone. Now I am depending on this partial income when I would rather support my family as I have  done in the past but there arenot any j-o-b-s. Do whatever.;;;  extend these tiers so people want have to start taking.  We arenot looking for a hand out we  n-e-e-d  a  hand.

No Tier 4...Texas unemployment rate is supposedly 8.2 percent. I doubt that figure. This is an election year and the Republicans are doing all that they can to try and portray to everyone else that they are doing a good job. So they won't  be voted out of office. They want to portray that the housing market is wonderful and jobs are plentiful and to hell with the unemployed. Rick Perry turning down stimulus money does not sound like common sense because it is not. Perry turned down the unemployment stimulus but had to turn around and borrow money from the Government to replenish Texas unemployment fund last summer. (yes the very Government he wanted to secede from) Millions is what taxpayers are on the hook for when he could have just accepted the money to begin with. The media in Texas ignores the unemployed, so this is why you do not see anything in a newspaper, on the news and anywhere is site in Texas.

Today I called the MAIN NUMBER, 1-800-939-6631, and asked simply if I qualified for the tier 4 extension because mine ran out end of June as well, and was told yes and it would be to me by Aug. 4th. Everyone SHOULD have theirs by Aug. 4th. (Thank God) and also you MUST call around 9am (or earlier) if you plan on getting through. Hope this helps and Good luck!

The way I understand Texas has to hit 8.5% unemployment, before the senate will vote on that. There are a lot of people going to run out.

I was on Tier 3.  Exhausted my benefits 2nd week of April.  I automatically got put on the State Extended benefits.  I didn't call or anything.  Just logged in and saw I had the extension so.  Who knows.  I actually gave up because I figured my benefits were over.  Guess they aren't.

After you exhaust tier 3 do you move on to the State Extended Benefits?  I also just noticed that our percentage went from 8.2 to 8.3 while many other states numbers lowered.  Will that 8.5 change as the average?

There is no tier 4 for Texas, so don't count on your Republican officals to even try to help those unemployed in this state. Rick Perry, feels it is more in his best interest not help Texans, but to discharge claims of 8.2% unemployment at his whim. As a Republican, both Perry and Bush have made decisions to their favor and not help the majority. He has been in office way to long, and I call upon fellow Republicans to help vote him out......All politicans LIE, do only what is in their best interest, and steal from the taxpayer. Look at Senator Hutcheson, she said she would resign, the did not keep her word. A 2 TERM LIMITATIONS SOULD BE IN PLACE FOR ALL OFFICES, from city council to the Senate, like the President. I'm for the HOG Party (HELP OUST Government), to limit terms and pork spending.

Not unless Texas unemployment hits 8.5%.They say we are at 8.2%.Just a few months ago,Texas had to be at 8.0 % to get tier 3!(we were still at 8.2)I was laid off after 22 years at same company,I look every DAY for a job, nothing.I'm 50 & that doesn't help.
Contemplating putting my Glock in my mouth & checking out.

Everyone needs to go to the polls and vote! Our elected officials need to hear our voices if they can not help the unemployed then DON'T COUNT ON OUR VOTE!!!!
