Did The Senate Pass The Tier 5 Unemployment Extension?

Unemployment Insurance is crucial and is the lifeline for the long-term unemployed.  Tier 5 is vital and is needed without delay to avoid immediate homelessness for the middle-class. There are NO jobs and we need help! “Overqualified, under qualified” -- this is what I’ve heard over the past year during interviews due to my 4 year college education.

I would like to know if there will be a tier 5 extension for the people who have exhausted all their unemployment benefits. These people need help now! Through no fault of their own they have not been able to find work in california and are now homeless or close to it. How can the senate take another vacation without any regard to the people who are desperate to feed and keep a roof over their head and their families?

There is currently nothing on the table for tier 5 benefits   this is the time to flood the house and senate in washington demanding this extension e mail call or fax these  these people in large numbers now or nothing will happen    do not wait for others to do it

You have no basis for that answer what so ever.  First they are going to make another extension for those people who have yet to exhaust their tiers when they get back from their 2 week break,  then the long term unemployed will be worked on whether they add new weeks to the current tier 4 to make it easier on states computers systems or add another tier 5 in general.  They vote for the extension on April 12 at 5:30 if this extension does not get approved which I do not see why it wont then there will be no tier 5 or added weeks.

People who have run out of extended unemployment are now robbing banks.  I live in Philadelphia and each day they report at least 4 or 5 bank robberies on the news on a daily basis.  Just conduct a google search-it is all there on-line.  It is getting really really bad out there.  The homeless population in Philadelphia is through the roof and it is getting worse by the day.

If you watched it you would realize why they cannot get anything done in a timely manner. Obama told the group of buffoons that we will get this done today. NOT! If we all havent starved to death by November we can get this inefficient clowns out of office. It was a good start with Scott Brown in Massachusetts. Lets keep it going.New people that are in tune with reality. We all need the extra time to get this help and plan and prepare for the inevitable depression looming on the horizon. No. According to the unemployment office in florida.. Its not even in the works.. Sorry ..I guess I shall stay on prozac.. Cause I really can't take this no more.. I have no income at all.. Thank god I did income tax that is how I paid this month bill. Don't know how I will pay next month... To all the unemployed people who are really looking on monsterjob, careerbuilder, hotjobs. Tier 4 is still in high gear,At this time there is no Tier 5,and new bill  that just passed Senate today,helps employers on payroll taxes,but ZILCH for  unemployment extension.

A friend of mine ..said his cousin payed the price I guess..he comitted suicide because of the stress of no job or no money..he also was praying for unemployment..I guess he got his relief..sad...say a prayer for the family..isn't america great..

No there is no tier 5 at this time 7-21-10 for florida or any other state. But an extention was passed today for Tiers 1, 2, 3.

What happens when you run out of the tier 4 an now you will be getting eb extension from your state what happens it they extend the tier 4 that just ran out on me

No, the 5th extension was not approved, it's currently frozen and they are saying that it will probably not get approved.
