Go to the us treasury website you should be able to type in all your information and the government can locate the bond that way. You have to be the owner/co owner or beneficiary. They can also automatically cash it in for you if you want them to, if they haven not been cashed in already

Dear, I think you should search the place again where you had lost your bond and then go for some advertisement which announce little gifts or cash prizes for finders I think in this way, there is a chance of getting your bond back

thank you for your advice I don't think there is a chance of finding them in the last place I know them to be I'm thinking someone cashed them in and someone from my inlaws family there was a alcoholic among them and every cent counted to help the habit,I will try the gov and an ad for help thankyou, I'd never thought of a ad.

Bonds that were not mine were cashed out in my name.now I am required to pay the tax on interest made on these bonds. How do I find the original owner?
