There are several extensions available, on both state and federal levels.  If you haven't reached the end of your first claim, you will certainly have a state extension, and if your state is above 10%, the Obama administration has made that 20 weeks instead of 14.  You may have more on state.  Then you go to federal level, but I don't know how long that lasts, but the requirements are stricter, like more applications per week.

You will receive a letter from the employment commission once you have a 0 balance on your account. You will complete the form return asap and you should receive the emergency benefits. It takes almost a month to get it.I got back pay.You have to continue to call in your weekly claims. They will not tell you if you are eligible Its a waiting and guessing game. The only way you get Obamas ext is if you had exhausted your emergency benefits before dec 31 2009.You will get the same amt of money but for lesser weeks.I got 24 weeks reg unemploy and 19 for the emergency.good luck.also the federal money or emer benefits are not taxable like reg unemployment
