You can usually check your savings account by registering for internet banking with the financial institution who your savings are with.
You can then log into your account through a secure website which will allow you to see your balance and carry out basic account transactions like transferring money between your/other accounts and setting up standing orders and automatic payments.
If your savings account is with the same people your checking account is with, and you already have internet banking, you may already be able to access your savings the same way, or it may just take a quick call to the bank to ask them to set that up for you.
If you are registering for internet banking for the first time, you will probably need to choose some memorable information like a password or pin number which you will need to enter to access you information online.
