For business growth and expansion and to boost sales, profits, revenues, consumer loyalty, consumer recognition. Also so they can find cheap sources of labour and suppliers in foriegn countries (such as China and India). They can therefore tap into a larger customer market. And finally because an international strategy can help diversify and expand a business

- It might want to penetrate in the growing market elsewhere.
- It might shift due to political factors in its own economy.
