To check your Medicaid status simply follow these steps:

  • Locate your confirmation letter of your application form you received
  • Find the appropriate contact number on the letter
  • Make sure you have all your information such as reference number and full address
  • Ring the number and explain that you have applied for Medicaid and you wish to know the current status of your claim
If you follow these steps then you should be able to get your answer to how far along your Medicaid claim is.

However, if you do not currently have the confirmation letter then you will have to wait a few more days for it to arrive as if you rang up the number without this letter, you would not have the reference code and so they may struggle to locate your claim or even refuse to without this information.
