WOW that's a tough one....you might want to start with all your local banks...they could check by his name, etc....then if no luck there, try fanning out to nearby cities, and call or email those 100 miles or so from you.. & the local banks could check all their branches statewide, too..... It's at least somewhere to start...do the keys have any markings, numbers, etc,? You'd want to tell the banks this, also...ask the banks if there isn't some national registry of some kind for this type of situation, where there are keys but no other info...you may be surprised at what they can do for you!
