If you live in the state of Arizona, good luck with that one. I have tried calling the Unemployment/Extension phone number a million times and it automatically disconnects you "due to the overwhelming request and calls, you call can not be answered at this time, go to the online website,
goodbye", then click, the call is automatically disconnected. I also went to every DES office listed for Mesa and Tempe, and was told those offices are for food stamp, AHHCS health insurance, and temporaryassistance for needy family's. The people working in the DES office stated that there is no actual office that handles the unemployment issues, everything is done on line. Basically, it's a wait and see, cross your fingers and hope. I am, also, still unemployed, exhausted my benefits, the first extensions, and have had no success in finding an actual person, phone number, or DES worker who could answer the question. I was told that they are not given that information. Frustrating to say the least, especially when you are following the rules for job searching on a daily basis, and really need the extension because the jobs are just not there, and your next fear is losing your car and facing becoming one of the homeless and living on the streets.
