Most banks report unpaid overdraft accounts to a nationwide reporting group. When you attempt to open an account at another bank they check with this reporting agency to see if you owe another bank. I would suggest you repay the other bank(s) you owe. It is a reflection as to your integrity and ability to manage your finances.
