A mission statement is a brief statement of purpose of a company, organization or a group. These companies use the mission statement as a slogan, but the intention of a mission statement is to keep members and the users aware of the organization's purpose.
In the case of public companies, the primary purpose must be to uphold the interests of shareholders.
