There is the Trial Work Period in which you can make as much as you want for nine months. Then they will pay you full benefits for two more months then stop paying you. At this point you will be in the extended work period for the next 36 months. During this time you can make up to $940 a month without losing your benefits. After that I do not think you cannot make anything without losing you benefits. The idea of the Trial Work Period and the Extended Work Period are to get people back to work and off disability. If you have a permanent disability such as blindness or deafness or paralysis or missing limbs. You can make a certain amount. If you are on SSI you will lose some of your benefits if you work. But not dollar for dollar it is still worth it sometimes.
