Okay, for those ppl that are getting medicaid and medicare, how old are you? My father had a stroke, and his left side is weak, he care for himself and is in a wheelchair. He did get medicaid for 6 months, but now, the state took it away. I don't understand why would they do that? He is considered disabled and he is 53, what do you suggest I do? My father needs help for doctor, medical bills, and care at home. He has gone to the emergency because he is still having trouble and problems with his health. What should I do? Can he still get medicaid or medicare?
Yes, you can still get Medicaid. I do!
Yes I receive ssd and I have both medicare and medicaid
Yes. If you qualified for disability, you are eligible for Medicaid/Medicare. The type of Medicaid will depend on your age. Good luck!
I'm told you can, but you're not eligible to apply for Medicaid until 29 months after your initial request for SSD. Not positive that this is correct though - I'm asking the same question.
I am on SSD and that's the only income I have and was told I get to much money and I was not able to get medicaid. I don't understand it but that's what I was told. I do get medicare but not medicaid.
Absolutely but if you get too much you may have a spend down...look into it for your state...
I am receiving Disability benefits that I get direct deposit. I recently received a check from Social Security but don't know what its for. I have some back pay due, but I don't think this is it. Because its usually direct
deposited into my account.
deposited into my account.
You can get medicaid with SSi. I think all you can get with disability is medicare and that takes 60 days after you are approved. I am 58 years old and that is all I get.
Only if your income is low enough. Have a friend on disability, but he has already paid off his house, so his expenses are lower than others, so he does not get Medicaid.
