Robots can make manufacturies much easier for many reasons. They can make products over and over without stopping and make them exactly the same. Plus you don't have to negotiate with them for raises and lunch breaks and that kind of stuff.
Robots do not need lunch hours, breaks, vacation, health-care, 401K plans, employee parking, payroll and payroll reporting, discipline, rewards, medical care for injuries and a lot of other human required supervision and care-taking. The robot does not complain about its job or its pay. A robot works. Working is all they do and when they break or malfunction the cost of repair and maintenance still does not come close to the hard money costs of a human employee. Humans get sick and Robots will need repair but a robot does not collect sick pay. The robots can do a job in most instance in speeds multiple times faster than a human. Robots can do just about anything without risk of death, injury and/or rehabilitation. They may require maintenance contracts for service however an individual requires insurance in the forms of Workman's compensation, health care, life insurance (in some instances), hospitalization for injuries, fear of law suits for the injuries and most of all they do not blame another robot for not doing the job they were manufactured for and perform. The benefits of robots are vast and the menial tasks that would bore many a human to death is not a factor for microchips or the operation it controls.
In conclusion, I think engineering applications of computers help companies do processes like delivering parcels and maintaining stock levels to keep waste of money time etc to a bare minimum. These applications are very helpful and have many advantages. Robots can work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They have unlimited stamina so they can pick up heavy loads and work in harmful conditions without damaging themselves. They can also do very accurate jobs so products get a good finish which means the customer’s needs are met. Also it is more cheaper for the company in the long term to buy robots than employ humans, because if one of the employees is not well then that day some processes will be slowed down, but the robots do no feel ill and do not need wages. However, these robots have disadvantages. Most employees will loose their jobs. They are also very expensive in the short term. The company will need to employ certain people to actually program robots to do certain things and if there is a malfunction then the robots will either need to be repaired or reprogrammed. I think without these engineering applications many companies would’ve not been popular and they wouldnt’t have got any money.
Robots are really needed to help humans do hard jobs, risky jobs, and jobs which need high accuracy
with robots, company can take more profits, cause it brings more benefits and it's more efficients
robots can work overtime without payment so it can work non-stop, and bring more profits with lower cost spent by the company
