The EI won't allow me to input half an 30.5 hrs of work. It will only allow me to input 30 hrs. What do I do with the 0.5?
There is no limit to the number of hours you can work in a week and still keep your unemployment claim open. Be careful to report the exact amount of money that you earn each week, and if it's under the EI benefit amount, you'll be paid the difference. You can keep your claim open in this way if you feel that the employment is only temporary.
EI told me today Oct.1/10, that if you work more than 35 hours a week you will be cut off. It doesn't matter the amount of earnings made...just the hours. Watch out!!...if you take a full time job make sure it will pay more than EI. Nothing worse than working full time and making less money than you could be by sitting on your couch and collecting!!
