An efficient manager would be organised and they would be able to prioritise work and deal with any problems straight away. usually they will have to deal with complaints so they need to also be confident too.

Excellent people skills are a must as they need to communicate with staff to let them know what is expected of them. Giving orders and tasks to staff is also something which an efficient manager would do. They would be in charge but they would also be willing to muck in whenever they are needed.

There are quite a few qualities that go into making an efficient manager. A weak-minded and easy-going manager can be detrimental to the morale of the team. The manager is someone whom the entire team will look up to, and therefore that person should have the ability to assume a leadership role and assert themselves over their team. The manager has to be able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the members of his team, and provide them guidance to improve on their weak areas. He also should be able to use the teams' strengths and minimize the weaknesses.

Another very important quality of the manager is time management. He has to be able to manage his time as well as the time allotted to his team efficiently, so that there are no delays during any stage of the project. The manager should also have sound communication skills, as well as the ability to listen. Besides these, he also should have an analytical mind, so he is able to analyse different scenarios and come up with the best solutions for those scenarios.
