A stop order is just what it sounds like--A STOP ORDER. If someone was transferring money to you and placed a stop order on it, or if this was a fraudulent transfer from someone trying to scam you out of your money, Western Union would have the right to place a stop order on the money, meaning you could not receive the money. OR if the money was NOT available in the account of the person placing the transfer, there would be a "stop order" on it as Western Union could not verify the funds and therefore could not transfer them to you.
