I believe you mean MRSA... Methacillin resistant staph aureus. The baby can get MRSA while still inutero, and can have a serious infection at birth. But the doctors will more than likely prescribe vancomycin for the baby and the mother to fight the infection.... Vancomycin is the ONLY antibiotic in the market corrently that will fight off MRSA. ( my pathogenic microbiology instructor would be so proud that I remembered that...lol) A staph infection will not cause the baby any learning problems in the future and it will not qualify for disability.

Most likely it won't get you any disability it is just (MRSA) Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus. Just a form of staph infection that is resistant to most antibiotics. en.wikipedia.org
