Your Unemployment office, whichever state it may be in, will send you a Notice of Final Determination when you begin your Unemployment Compensation Benefits.  This Notice of Final Determination may be used as Proof of Unemployment.  Also, If you have your Unemployment loaded onto a card that they issue to you, you are able to go to the website on the card to check your balance and also print out statements.  If you print out a statement this works as proof as well as the Notice of Final Determination.  The Notice of Final Determination is the best option when deferring student loans.
