If I have an employee that only worked 19.5 hours per week. Are they entitled to unemployment benefits in the state of Minnesota after they have been terminated?
NO! IF YOU WORK FOR MINIMUM WAGE FOR 2 HRS. PER WEEK, YOU AIN'T GETTING UNEMPLOYMENT, even if you want to volunteer and "technically" unable to work because of your volunteer work, you will be denied. If you are sick and wouldn't be able to work for a week you are denied. Tell them what they want, that you are pounding the ground for a job.
