State bank of Pakistan is the central bank of Pakistan and it was established in 1948. Its purpose includes developing rules for the regulation of the banking sector, developing and carrying out the monetary policy of the country, stability of the currency, money supply in the country, acting as the lender of lat resort to banks, controlling interest rates in the market, monitor that financial institutions function properly and do not use fraudulent means and the government also borrows from the public through the state bank.
