Basically the W4 form is essential for an employer because they need it in order to get the right amount of tax from your pay. This means that whenever you go to start a new job, you will have to fill out a W4 form.

If you do not fill out this form, not only is it bad for your employer but you could also end up losing out. Too much tax could be taken from your wage and that would leave you with less money than you should have. So do not think that by not giving the correct details or by not filling in a W4 form at all will help you save on tax because in fact it could have quite the opposite effect! Overall you do need to fill them in and they are an essential form which will need to be filled in as soon as you start a new job.
