I am still employed, age 76, when to I have to take monies out of my 401k

You may want to check with your account office, but you could do that right now. Most people choose to wait till they retire...thus 401K retire funds. That's the whole idea (That's why it's called your nest egg) I had a friend that had to empty his account just to pay off medical bills and he was 7 years away from retirement
