I believe that everyone has gone through this experience at least once in their life.
If this happens at my job, I remember that I am part of a team, that I need to be professional at all times. We have a project to get done - the boss is counting on us to pull together and get it accomplished. They don't need workers that go whining to them when things get tough.
If the person is really being a pain in the patootie, I would see if I could work around them and still get the results that I need. If not, I would speak to them one-on-one and see if there is an issue that needs to be resolved.
