Everyone should be paid according to their contribution. It has nothing to do with the sex of the recipient. It also has nothing to do with the ability to wield a shovel.
Women are cheated all over the world.

You are confusing pay with earnings.
There are many reasons why women earn less than men on average ( it is averaged! ) but claiming, as feminists do, that all the variance is due to sexist discrimination is just ideological bafflegab.
Most of the time pay has little to do with how hard you work, how much you contribute, and what you're capable of compared to others.
It all comes down to how you negotiate your salary and position at the table. There has been many instances where I see people with the same number of years, same job title, and at the same company making a difference of over 40k between their salaries.
I think the reason why females are underpaid is because they're underrepresented in our main industries. Ever been to a CS department at any University? It tends to have a ratio of 20:1 male to female. So when a woman is interviewing for a job, they're more likely to feel nervous and just take whatever offer that's given to them. Never do that.
It's also hard to take initiative as a woman in an "all boys club". Asking for a raise, asking an employer to match an offer from another company, discussing interest in taking more responsibilities, asking for a promotion, etc. If you look at all the females around here in upper management and c-level, they're all pretty cutthroat. That's what it takes.
