Absolutely. Some of them should also have their books examined for fraud.
Although I feel that some of their income should be tax free, as in feeding the poor and any other social work they do. But as far as the preachers income and any of the employees of the church, they need to be taxed. As far as profits (or is that "prophets"?), it as well needs to be taxed.
All churches, mega, medium and mini should be taxed where applicable. If they run a soup kitchen then they could get a nonprofit status and not pay tax, but all the land they own and all the money made by their businesses ( think catholic church ) should be taxed.

I think churches should be taxed the same as any other non-profit group.
That would mean they may NOT wind up paying taxes ... But they have to file annually, showing how much money they brought in and how much they spent on charity.
Of course ... I also agree that "If 10% is good enough for Jesus, it should be enough for Uncle Sam". Lol
