How much is health insurance for an 80 year old man with good health. Lives in Michigan. Just a estimated cost?

You should be covered under Medicare for most health issues. You can get supplemental insurance to cover whatever Medicare doesn't cover. My supplemental insurance costs me $108 per month. With that, I'm covered almost 100% with very little out of pocket.

Hi there,

It’s hard to give an estimated amount because a lot of it depends on your current and past health, and what kind of plan you would like to go with. Your personal health needs and anticipated costs will be different for someone else who is the same age as you, but most likely has different health goals and needs.

The rate you pay will also depend a lot on how high your deductible is. Every plan requires a deductible of some kind, the lower the deductible, the higher your monthly premiums. Choosing the right deductible will depend on how much you are prepared to pay should you need to use your plan. At this point, what you should do is write down your current and anticipated health needs, shop around and get some quotes from different companies, see what plan suits your health needs and goals, and then choose  the best one for you.

Best of luck to you!
