Tell me about a time you had to take a firm stand with a co-worker. What was the situation?

I recently had to take a very firm stand with a co-worker who had the audacity to eat the crumpets I had left in the kitchen at work.

Crumpets are pretty much my favourite breakfast. I like to have them with an unseemly amount of butter and I eat them at my desk, at 9.05am precise, with a mug of hot, strong coffee to go with them. It's a big part of my routine. Last Wednesday I went to get my three crumpets and discovered that someone had eaten two of them.

Unrestrained anger

You can imagine my fury. After a little detective work I was able to track down the culprit, who I reprimanded in no uncertain terms. He was embarrassed (as he should be) and the oily plate from which he had eaten MY crumpets was still sitting brazenly on his desk. I am considering going to HR about this theft.

Crumpet tips

As a side thought- if you've never tried crumpets, you should. They're particularly divine when spread thickly with chocolate spread, which melts through the little holes in a heavenly manner.
