It shapes our lives greatly by:
1. It creates the demand for a certain item for its consumers.eg. Hair shampoo ads. Demand is a good thing for our economics, keeps the jobs going and unemployment rate down. So in the end everyone is happy.
2. It gives us the wrong impression about certain aspect of reality. Eg. Good looking guys and hot sexy woman will help sell the product that is on the ad, especially those ads with hot sexy woman. And becoz of this, it shaped each and everyone's perception on what beauty is, which is 36C, 25, and 36 body.
