Mr. Parker recently applied for life insurance. He called his primary care physician because the application form had a section to be filled out by his physician. He had a complete physical examination only 2 months ago and hoped another visit would?

It is likely Mr Parker was hoping he would not have to complete another physical examination. Unfortunately, even if Mr. Parker had a complete physical examination as recent as two months prior to his life insurance application he would still need to complete a new physical examination.

If Mr. Parker did not provide the new physical examination results then the application would not be valid and so it would fail to be processed.

This is all to do with the strict terms and conditions of life insurance policies, but it is fairly understandable when you consider the money involved when life insurance policies pay out.

If they did not require a full physical examination at the time of your application, then they would be left somewhat in the dark about the applicant's current health condition. Yes Mr. Parker's last examination was only two months ago and he may have got the all clear, however, in those two months he could have developed a serious health condition which could place him in a completely different life insurance category.

The life insurance policies therefore have to contain no loop-holes that a claimant can exploit in order to get an undeserved payout. People in the past have even gone to the extreme of faking their own death or killing their partner to try and gain access to a life insurance payout in the millions. Therefore the company's policies are one of the strictest you will find - and for good reason too.
