It is difficult to give you specific banks due to two reasons:

  • You have not specified which country you are based in
  • Banks only offer learnerships for a short period of time
If you are based in the United States then the best thing to do is to visit a website such as:

www.internships.com/search/post/results?keywords=banking&
You will see that there is a list of banks for all different areas that are currently offering learnerships. You can narrow the search down by entering your zip code and it will refine the list to show only banks in your area.

If you cannot find any appropriate placements at the moment for your area it is still worth checking back on the website regularly as it will be updated continuously so something should come up in the near future.

It is also worth contacting all your local banks or the banks you would love to work for and asking about their current learnership opportunities. Even if they do not have vacancies at that moment it is sure to impress them that you are so eager to learn and be part of their company so you have nothing to lose.

When you do apply for a learnership, it is important you revise your resume to suit the role. Make it sound like you were born for the job and that all your qualifications and experience make you the ideal candidate. Also if you get an interview you should show how keen you are to learn and how proud you would be to represent the bank.
