- Find out why you have been declined and open your letter with this in the first paragraph. This way the person reading it will understand from the start of the letter.
- Explain why you think that this should be reconsidered. If you couldn't verify medical records give details of past medical history and doctors contact details and if you work in a high risk job, see if you can give evidence of the risks not being as high as people may think.
- Give your evidence. Write about the evidence you have to back up point 2. Try and get figures for injuries in your workplace so that you can prove it is not risky, get a credit report if you have had the application rejected for poor past credit history. Hopefully this will show that your finances have improved.
- Attach any further documents and say in the letter that you have enclosed them in the envelope. This will prevent them getting misplaced by the person that reads the letter.
- Make sure that you leave contact details on the letter so that you can be contacted by phone, mail or email if they wish to respond.
