The term Recruitment is a process of searching out the potential applicants and inspiring them to apply for the actual or anticipated vacancy.

The main purpose of the recruitment process is to find the best candidate from the widest pool of applicants to provide the best opportunity to select the best people for the required roles in an organisation.

On the other side, the term Selection is a process of hiring employees among the pool of shortlisted candidates. Selection is all about finding the best suitable candidates among the applications based on their resumes and then from the different level of Interviews.

The main purpose of the selection process is to ensure that the best person or people are appointed to the roles using effective, fair and equitable assessment activities.
