Front office accounting includes determining the room rates to be charged for each guest upon check in. This will then create a folio specifically for the guest which will include his total room charges and other incidentals. Front office accounting also involves the mode of payment the guest will be using if it will be a credit card charge, or a corporate billing or if the guest is a Frequent Individual Transient if he will be paying PUCI (payment upon check in) or PUCO (Payment upon check out).

Hai,

  • Hotel accounting is part of accounting practice in hospitality industry. Unlike conventional corporate accounting where where one set of financial statement is used, in hotel accounting financial reports are made from various department before "consolidated statements" are made for the hotel.
