Values can be defined as those things that are important to a person and it is crucial to have ethics in your job in general. For example a doctor has moral ethics not to discuss any personal information about their patients.
This is a long-standing tradition in the medical codes and practises as client confidentiality is key. Companies have a value and ethics statement that people must adhere to at all times.
Some core values include integrity, professionalism, caring, teamwork, and stewardship. Other factors to consider when mentioning and looking at professional values and ethics include honesty and loyalty as values that are the ingredients of integrity.
They are extraordinarily important tools in order to make judgments, assessing probable outcomes of contemplated actions, and choosing among alternatives.
Values are fundamentally important in all walks of life. If you are raised the right way you will have good values and a lot of it is down to a child’s upbringing. For example, someone may just help an old lady across the street while another will just carry on as if nothing has happened. The person with good values will help her across and the traits of caring and honesty constitute a prime example. After all, honesty is always the best policy.
Ethics are the concepts between good and evil and for that matter is it good to take drugs? This is probably not a good idea because it ethically endangers someone’s well-being. It’s also a vice so one good ethic to possess is to be cautious and careful about what you are getting yourself involved in whether it’s stealing a car or taking ecstasy or some other type of illegal substance.
