Left alone of a lunch time in an armament depot as a teenager long before the days of mobile phones I took a message which turned out to be a War Alert. I could not contact my superiors so I checked out the authenticity of the high ranking officer giving the order - and gave the order to load the bombs and missiles as directed. Would not have done anything differently - except perhaps say I should have got a promotion for keeping quiet lol. At least they did not lose their jobs!
