Answer this one question: "What is money?" Suppose I am writing a dictionary and come to this word, how would you answer it? Most people strive all their lives and careers after money, getting it and spending it, and they actually do not even know what money is! In case you were wondering, it is a "medium of exchange of value for value". If you do something of value in this world for others, they repay you in a medium that you can exchange for what you value. If you do things society does not value or that many can do, you get paid little and if you do not know what you value, you'll take that money and fritter it away getting stuff that the advertisements say you need and will make you happy, and,well, it doesn't! Then the disillusionment sets in and you say, I want to live without money. Money has no life, so soul, no conscience, it is just a medium of exchange of value for value. The answer: Do things of value for others that can repay you in kind with things you value. Then there is no need for money.
Barter and trade your skills for food and shelter. Is your home paid for? Grow a garden in your back yard. Barter for blankets before winter comes. If you get hungry I've seen homeless people hang out behind pizza joints and take the pizza from the trash bins (the 30 second rule applies here) perhaps any restaurant will give you the food if you take the trash out to the bin for them. Yea, it looks like its f***ed. I to want to get out of society or more the money system. I don't mind lots of people or being on my own. Yet as told before money is product of green and produces greed by its creation. So community created by Love would produce Love? :) I believe people are able to figure it out. 1) Simple. Start a biotechnology company. Then become extremely successful and blow up the next Bilderberg conference and use adopted counties' intelligence agencies to seek and destroy surviving relative or general affiliates.
2) After that, build a source of food for the "developing nations" and build a manufacturing base somewhere with low wages and generally diversify into any and all industries.
4) Allow a world war to happen and remain neutral (at this point you should have majority control over at least a dozen non aligned states)
5) After gaining trust from the OECD nations, the EU and NATO, betray them in a final war and destroy Anglo-American hegemony.
6) Be sure that your troops are kind to the conquered and hopefully the damage with highest evaluation was to the enemy's economy, not their person.
7) From there, overthrow your allies and gradually sterilize the human race and download their genomes, consciousnesses onto files for storage.
8) Store your own mind onto a computer and begin to enhance your being exponentially.
9) Eventually merge with all of the stored human files and collective intelligence and become a sub-omniscient being.
10) From there, humans and probably life in general will no longer exist beyond the confines of graphene or a superior semiconductor(it all depends on when you get around to the latter steps).
PS- After step 6 or 7, money should no longer be an issues.
Well, first off donate all your personal belongings (you can't sell them because you would have money), give everything else away that you don't need except for some clothes and bandaids. Give yourself to The Lord and trust only in Him. That's the only way I can think of living without money. Good luck in your endeavors!
Create your own farm. Bring cattles of cows or sheeps & grow some vegetables. To start your day with a breakfast of a boild egg you could have some hens as well.
There are communes in the U.S. And other parts of the world where people are trying to opt out of the monetary system, unfortunately they cannot as they require money to buy food, clothing, supplies etc. If you did not use money you would be using shells or something else. One person creates something and wants to trade that item for something s/he needs = money, whether it be shells, currency, or an exchange. The barter system is the closest you can get to reliance on trade instead of using money. The only thing I can think of would be to move to a country like Canada where you can homestead land, whatever you clear in a year is yours. From that point, if the land was in the middle of nowhere, you could fish and hunt for your food and domesticate some wild berries or even eat the wild berries for added sustenance. Get some books (ah, these will cost $) on how to grind your own flour and eat off the land.
I want to live without money too. Can I sue the American government for forcing the monetary system upon me? I believe it is an obstruction of my pursuit of happiness. I feel that greed is the motivation behind money. Additionally, I feel that using money violates my belief system and the christian religion.
I have lived with little to no money and it was the best time of my life. I lived in a tent on the beach with a portable propane stove. I had enough money to pay for the camp ground for 4 months and had a little spending money. I did dishes at a restaurant for beer and food. I met the coolest people and learned a lot about myself while doing this.
The most difficult part of being self sufficient is affording unavoidable costs e.g. Housing and electricity. Relying on the religion to see you through is a joke, if you think some male figurehead from mythology, created centuries ago and borne out of a male dominated society as a means to control the general public is going to save your life then you are likely to starve, like the millions in third world countries already are - I'm glad he's not my god because I'd be ashamed. If you want to live without money then you need to first ask yourself, am I prepared to unplug the tv, stop going to church and actually look at my neighbour (rather than preaching that you'll love them) - then you might be able to see the true value in this world is what we bring to each other.
To manage this you would need to arrange a bartering agreement with each person whom you depend on for certain provisions. You would give them something they need in exchange for these provisions.
In theory it's possible, but you might find it easier to live life as a hermit.
Win the lottery, buy everything you will need for the rest of your life, give the rest of the money to me. Then you will be able to live without money.
