It appears he was formerly a Nokia Executive before being promoted by PepsiCo as CEO of PepsiCo India. Shivakumar works just underneath Sanjeev Chadha who is the CEO of PepsiCo AMEA (Asia, MiddleEast and Africa).
Previous to Shivakumar was former CEO of PepsiCo India Bakshi. On taking his new role, Shivakumar's first order of business was to drastically increase the consumption of cola in his entire working vicinity. This was due to the ever-rising competition of rival brands that threaten the eminence of the PepsiCo brand.
This can be confusing since PepsiCo's CEO is a US citizen who is in fact India-born.
