I prefer to go local for the most part.  I enjoy Finger Lakes Distilling's rye and their Irish potstill whisky, though I also like the white whisky by Black Button Distilling.  For bourbon I actually rather like Buffalo Trace.

Actually, Woodford Reserve is really good. I haven't had hard liquor for a long time, but last time I did, it was Woodford Reserve and I enjoyed it.
